First of all, here is just a silly picture of me clowning. The type in the back was started and then....I hated it so I decided to start it over. Let's look at some of this nightmare.
The feet needed serious help. So I started to work on them.
The glass dome was started. I dug through a box of magazine clippings and found all kinds of photos to help me paint.
The lettering was started by just hand drawing it right on the canvas. What a rookie mistake! I then just started painting it and noticed how screwed up it was. UGHHH.... This resulted in me painting the banner back to white and then to yellow and then starting the lettering all over again. This isn't Photoshop people, this mistake cost me hours of work. Here you see the banner back to white. The letters were drawn on tracing paper to make sure they are the right size and then I will transfer them to the canvas and then paint them. I taped them to the canvas to see how the positioning was gonna work. This is a mess. I hate painting words.
Here is how the other painting is coming along. I am kicking back, taking a break from my work. George the cat seems to be looking at a bug.
