Dave Cooper

Painter DAVE COOPER says it best about painting. Never read a better description.

i don't understand the process at all. nearly every day I sit down and start applying paint like a mentally retarded barn painter..but after about half an hour of thinking, "well, it's finally happened: i'm not an artist anymore", things start to make sense, and I just know what to do, where/ how to do it. The middle stages are really the hardest though because you're not making big sweeping decisions, and you're not making fine adjustments. It's a weird in-between stage where you're often not quite sure what to do. and as this can last for weeks, it can make for a pretty jangly existence." -DAVID COOPER
