STARTING THE PAINTING

So, I had this canvas around the studio for years. It was left over from a large commissioned painting. I never had the time or motivation to do anything with it. Well, you get married and everything comes into focus. I now had the room the time and the motivation to do a large painting again. It is a 7 foot by 7 foot banner type of canvas. It looks like it could be a sideshow banner and at this early stage, it just might be. Im not sure what I am going to paint on it yet.

I have drawings from the past 20 years. I decided to go through them and pick some of the ones I liked. This came down to a large stack of about 30. I had my wife go through them with me and she selected some she liked and I selected some I wanted to paint. Along with the large canvas, I had two other abandoned paintings that would never see the light of day. It was time to use these surfaces again. These are smaller but still pretty good size. I got some paint and painted over the paintings to get ready for the new paintings. Everything got covered in a new coat of white.
My wife helped me paint everything white. It's a good thing she did because I don't really like this part of the process. After we got done....clean up. ugh. At this point I am still not so sure what I am going to be painting on these 3 surfaces. I like to work on multiple paintings at a time, it makes it a little more fun and I can reuse any paint I have left on some of the other ones.
